About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage a residential children’s home in Berkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management: Provide strong leadership to a team of residential support workers, ensuring high standards of care.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home operates in compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.

Safeguarding & Welfare: Promote a child-centered approach, safeguarding the well-being and development of all young people in your care.

Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing staff team, ensuring ongoing professional development.

Care Planning: Oversee the implementation of individualized care plans to meet the emotional, social, and educational needs of young people.

Budget & Resource Management: Manage the home’s budget effectively, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with external agencies, including social workers, schools, and healthcare professionals, to support the best outcomes for young people.

Crisis Management: Respond effectively to challenging situations, ensuring a calm and professional approach to crisis resolution.
Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential home.

Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and safeguarding policies.

Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Compliance: Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.

Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence preferred.
